This Joomla 1.5 module will display your site menus with simple javascript code. you can modify it to display as dropdown or horizontal layers.
In Module panel, there’s option to change background and border color.
User Guide: Install through Joomla Administrator panel and choose which menus you want to associate this module with.

This module is currently a little buggy. It doesn’t add Itemid into link in the menu and due to this, it causes issues with individual menus assigned to varied pages to not show up. I request that this be added and redistributed with this code fix. This was verified in Joomla 1.5.20
