You might notice our latest post is dated back 3 months ago, it’s because we are currently engaged in a big project, our hands are nailed to it that we almost completely shut-off from our routine blogging activities.
But now, our project is almost reach its mature level which means we can spare some time away from it. And we are excited to get back to Tobacamp and perhaps share you bit about our big project.
we will re-evolve the site immediately to give you new perspective, hopefully we can start constructing it within next week.

Time magazine recently released a list of decade’s biggest tech failure, most items noted on the list is no surprise at all, but there are also few that doesnt belongs.
Windows Vista as expected deserve to be on the top spot of the list, no one wants to argue about it, the combination of bad PR and media frenzy has flush the product out. Released in early 2007, Vista only able to grab 24% of the market compare to XP 62% domination. Microsoft engineer was later pushed to the limit to produce Windows 7 to recapture the market.

Ever wonder what would’ve happened if the concept of “open Source” never existed? imagine a world where knowledge grows by the numbers of production release by few major company only and people have to wait for a while to experience new technology… say something like computer processor where we have to patiently buy a new series each time those major vendors decided to release their “10% improvement products” instead just releasing the “perfect processor”

So we can be a hero, just like you, just like you… the higglytown heroes.
well that’s a snippet lyric from the children animated series Higlytown Heroes, the idea is to show to kids that you can be a hero on every jobs, from plumber to astronauts. And in the open source world, anyone can be a hero, since an application can be crafted from hundreds of programmer from every corner of the world.
But of course in every success stories there can be at least a name worth mentioning, the one that make all the differences, he can be the pioneer, the lead programmer or the mastermind. and in here i want describe few of them that successfully has made web a much better place.

Surely students are spending more time on their social network site than any other educational websites like wikipedia, howstuffworks, discovery etc, and there’s no way on earth anybody can stop them from doing so.
But the least any school can do is while those students are online is to give them little bit touch of education from their teachers or fellow friends. We can do this by getting the e-learning system up and running where teacher share learning materials, quiz, discussion, chat, document management and perhaps some social activities between friends.
